Here are some of the most commonly asked questions I’ve received regarding training. If you don’t find the answer you’re looking for, please reach out and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

So you train in the gym, on your own...
without a certified strength coach?

Tell me more about what an elite athlete you are.

DO YOU CHARGE EXTRA FOR SPORTS NUTRITION GUIDANCE AND A DIET PLAN?

Short answer, in most cases no.  Part of your comprehensive assessment will include a look at your current diet, what your goals are and where we may need to go nutritionally.  Depending on your goals, we may look at a several week snapshot of your diet and make adjustments as needed.  If however, you are in need of a more intense sports nutrition work up, such as in preparing for a figure, fitness or bodybuilding show, then we may need to go further.  If so, we will then sit down and discuss what that would entail.  Depending on our answer, we may need to do an additional, separate in depth long term plan, which may cost extra.

WHAT TYPES OF HOME EQUIPMENT DO YOU RECOMMEND?

We will very carefully go over all the equipment you have and have access to, along with your past musculoskeletal medical history, your ability to train, your time to train, social support to reach your goals, your current nutrition, sleep, stress, schedule, etc.  In developing your exercise prescription (training plan) we take the wholistic you into account.  Our goals is to ensure that the plan fits not only your goals but your lifestyle.  A perfect training plan is useless unless you can execute it.  We do our best to ensure the plan fits you so  we can do our best to help you achieve your goals.

HOW ARE YOU DIFFERENT FROM OTHER TRAINERS?

Coach Chris is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  He has decades of experience in coaching and has trained over a thousand individuals.  He also has decades of experience as an athlete and still is a masters level strength athlete.  Using his science background and education, Coach Chris keeps abreast of the current research and applies that to his training to help you achieve your goals.  Coach has analyzed hundreds of scientific studies and books as well as taken hundreds of hours of course work on human performance.  Backed by science, decades of experience, education and hard won (and lost) life lessons in the field and athletic arena.  That's what not only makes us different but makes us a standout in our arena.  We're here.  We have faced adversity and won.  Now the only question is do you have what it takes to train like a warrior and conquer your goals?
