LOW BACK PAIN

Our spine is a fantastic creation.  It is capable of both being incredibly flexible and incredibly stiff.  It allows us to accomplish every day task such as tying our shoes or picking up a grocery bag.  It can also channel transmission of tremendous force from the ground up and throughout our bodies enabling us to perform amazing athletics feats.  All that said it can also be supremely fickle, prone to injury and lead to chronic pain.  I am very aware of all of that.  In my former career, I ended up severely damaging my spine which lead to a series of injuries and pain, to include loss of the ability to walk with my left leg.  Through rigorous studying of the literature and talking to some of the experts I have been able to rehabilitate my spine to the point where I am still able to compete in Masters level Strongman competitions and do so almost exclusively back pain free. In our members area I discuss what has worked for me, discuss some of the myths and recommend some reading and summarize some of the literature on this all to frequent situation.  As always, I'm happy to help those who would like further assistance returning to sport or just becoming more athletic even with a difficult back.  Feel free to reach out to me at CoachChris@WarriorSpiritStrength.com
